All high school students The Best Buy Children’s Foundation is offering 1,200 scholarships of $1,000 each to high school students. Called the Best Buy Scholarship Program, it is designed to award students in grades 9-12 who plan to attend post-secondary education, have solid grades and are involved in community service or work experience.
Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference

You must have some journalism experience. The Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholarship is awarded at an annual conference at the Newseum in Washington D.C. One student from each state and the District of Columbia will be selected to participate in this five-day, all-expenses paid event held in mid-July.
To apply, you must complete two essays 500 word essays. In them you must why you want to pursue a career in journalism; and what characteristics make them a “free spirit.”
National FFA Organization Scholarships
