You can’t apply for the National Honor Society Scholarship program, you must be nominated. In order to be eligible, you must be a member of the National Honor Society and your chapter must be active.

Chapters may nominate between two to five seniors from their chapter to compete. The number of nominees per chapter is based on graduating class size. Small schools (1-100) may nominate two seniors; medium schools (101-250) may nominate three seniors; large schools (251-400) may nominate four seniors; and very large schools (401+) may nominate five seniors.

Student members who are seniors in good standing are eligible to be nominated.

State finalists receive $1,000 scholarships. State winners receive $1,500 scholarships, regional winners receive $3,000, and the national winner receives a $13,000 award.
